Disney just recently released a ton of new openings/re-openings for many major attractions and entertainment that will debut this summer! I wanted to write a quick post highlighting each:
1. Frozen Ever After and Royal Sommerhus in Norway pavilion in Epcot
This new ride will be replacing the Maelstrom attraction that used to be housed in the Norway pavilion in Epcot World Showcase. This attraction will now feature everyone's favorite characters from the iconic movie, including Elsa, Anna, and Olaf! This ride will be a fun one for all ages as it is not considered a thrill ride. Fastpasses are available for booking now. Royal Sommerhus will be the new meet and greet spot for both Anna and Elsa. As of right now, fastpasses are not being offered for the meet and greet. Both attractions will be opening on June 21st, 2016.

2. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular in Hollywood Studios
Currently, Hollywood Studios is home to the Symphony in the Stars fireworks show. Personally, this fireworks display is one of the best I have ever seen. With the new episodes beginning to come out, Disney has decided to add more to this fireworks show. This new show is said to be the largest fireworks display in park history and will incorporate pyrotechnics, video projections, and special effects to make each attendee feel like they are truly in the midst of a Star Wars movie scene. If the Symphony in the Stars fireworks were impressive, I can't even imagine how amazing the Galactic Spectacular will be. This is set to begin on June 17th, 2016.

3. Animal Kingdom at night and The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic
This long-awaited debut is finally happening. For the past several months, Disney has been creating nighttime entertainment for Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. This park has been notoriously known for being one you can do in about 4=6 hours and not have to come back at night. Disney wanted to change that, so they began to develop many incredible entertainment ideas to keep the park busy at night. One of these ideas is nighttime safari rides at the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Park-goers will be taken through the savanna with night vision goggles and fog lights to learn about how animals live in the dark. Another development is nightly awakenings of the Tree of Life. This show is very similar to Celebrate the Magic at the Magic Kingdom. The Tree of Life will light up using video projections and different light effects. Lastly, Animal Kingdom will now start to offer nightly shows of The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic river show. With the recent opening of The Jungle Book live action movie, Disney decided to turn their upcoming Rivers of Light show into The Jungle Book show until the rest of the Rivers of Light floats are done. This show will use special effects and video projections to make the river come to life. These nighttime attractions are set to begin on May 27th, 2016 and The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic river show will debut on May 28th, 2016.
