A Disney fan favorite sees its last days ):

Today my post is about a fan favorite that sadly is on its last limbs. Disney has announced that the Osborne Spectacle of Lights at Hollywood Studios will have its last run this coming holiday season. Many fans had speculated that this would happen due to the fact that the contract Disney had with the Osborne family had the rights for the show for 20 years and 2015 is the 20th year.

For readers who don't know, the Osborne Spectacle of Lights is a holiday light show that uses over 10 miles of lights and 30 miles of extension cords! Disney bought the rights from a family from Arkansas, the Osbornes, when they heard his house was not allowed to do the light show anymore in his state. Disney now coordinates the lights to holiday music so that they look like they are "dancing".

I was able to witness the light show a few years ago, and this coming January I will be attending the last show ever with my boyfriend (who has never seen them)! I am so excited to be able to be there on this special night and to also show Ryan (who is a huge holiday fan) just how spectacular these lights are!

If you plan to go to Disney within the next few months, I highly recommend visiting Hollywood Studios and seeing the lights! There are some speculations that the lights could be moving to Epcot in the future years because of how much of a fan favorite it has become, but that is truly just speculation and this really could be the last time fans could see the lights.
