I have some secrets up my sleeves that may help you save money or make your trip more magical!
Tickets:
If you go to mousesavers.com and sign up for their free newsletter they will send you their newsletter on the 15th of every month and it will have a link to get discounted Mousesaver Disney tickets! You can save up to $40 on the tickets compared to buying them at the gate or Disney World's website! If you don't want to get the newsletter, you can still go to the site (Undercovertourist.com) and get cheaper tickets!
Magicband skins:
If you want to spice up your Magicbands go to magicyourband.com! You can customize your own or buy one of their already made skins. They are around $8 and they ship extras in case you mess up the application and they also give you a discount if you buy more than one!
Tshirts:
If you are planning on making tshirts for your group, I recommend going to Etsy.com and buying iron-on designs. They are normally around $3-5 and they are digitally downloaded. Then, just go to Amazon.com or Walmart and buy cheap tshirts and iron them on. It is quick, easy, and relatively cheap!
I put in a picture of the shirts we made last year through Etsy!
Discounts:
If you are a AAA member, you can rent a car through them for a very cheap price! Sometimes having your own car at Disney can be easier than taking their transportation, but if you are looking for the cheapest way to get around, book a reservation with Magical Express (Disney's free airport transportation) and take the buses, monorails, and ferries to the parks from your resort.
If you are a Disney Visa cardholder, you can get up to 30% discounts off select Disney resorts from 6/16/15-8/27/15.
Food:
Disney offers the Disney Dining Plan and that can be worth it if you plan out your meals. For my family, we don't use this offer because we feel like it is too much food. Instead, we plan out our meals and put aside about $50-70 per person per day. These two options will vary between different families, but both are good ways to figure out just how much you want to spend on food each day. Some people choose to eat a table service meal for all three meals of the day (extremely expensive!), while others choose to do one table service meal a day (we choose this option and it is normally our dinner). The counter service and quick service meals are still amazing at Disney, so either way you are getting the bang for your buck!
Souvenirs:
Disney gets a lot of families with their souvenirs. You cannot go anywhere in Disney without seeing a gift shop or cute store. Especially with little kids, it is very hard to not buy anything in Disney. I recommend going to Disneygiftcard.com and designing a gift card for your child and putting money they either earned or you want them to spend in the parks on that gift card. That way, they know how much they are allowed to spend and it helps them learn how to manage their money! Also, a lot of the souvenirs found in the parks can be found online for extremely cheaper prices. So, if you pick something out that may seem too expensive, check online and see if you can buy it somewhere else! Don't do all of your shopping on the first either! Save your shopping until the last day or so because something that you really wanted the first day may not seem as cool on the last day!
